Joy Deibert brings over 15 years of experience as a seasoned PR professional, specializing in crafting impactful communications campaigns for both non-profit and for-profit ventures. Her diverse portfolio includes managing PR and special events for fine art galleries, traveling exhibition companies, and major arts and cultural institutions. Joy excels at shaping compelling messaging and discovering unique story angles that attract press attention, elevating the visibility of artists and art businesses.
Previously, Joy held pivotal roles at Imagine Exhibitions, serving as the Director of Public Relations and as the Director of Content and Communications. During her tenure, she was the senior publicist and promoted a portfolio of over 40 traveling exhibitions. She led a team of content marketers including brand managers, social media strategists, digital marketing specialists, and graphic designers. Most notably, she opened the popular traveling IP, Harry Potter™: The Exhibition, to the press in Atlanta, New York, Paris, Barcelona, and Macao, from 2022-2024.
Prior to her time at Imagine Exhibitions, Joy served as the Senior Press Officer at the Philadelphia Museum of Art from 2014 to 2022. In this capacity, she orchestrated PR initiatives for world-renowned art exhibitions and collection programs, contributing significantly to the museum's public presence. Notable exhibitions she worked on include Sean Scully: The Shape of Ideas; Jasper Johns: Mind/Mirror; Frank Gehry’s Master Plan and Core Project for the Philadelphia Museum of Art; Richard Benson: The World is Smarter Than You Are; and Audubon to Warhol: The Art of American Still Life.
Before her tenure at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Joy honed her business skills at Phillips auction house in New York and London. In her role as the Modern and Contemporary Prints Administrator, she gained valuable experience and expertise in the art industry.
Joy holds a Master of Arts in Museum Education from the University of the Arts, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Delaware. Her volunteer work includes working at the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta, as well as working at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. In her free time, Joy enjoys traveling, running, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends. Originally from Philadelphia, Joy now calls Atlanta, Georgia, her home.
